A dead man's switch for Home Assistant state changes

I've been thinking about how to handle agentic control over smart homes. Running RAG on logs for debugging is one thing, but actual state changes need a dead man's switch.

Instead of the agent halting execution to ask for permission mid-flow, harmful or state-altering actions should be persisted as proposals in a database (like a pull request for the physical world). These proposals are then surfaced together when the human is awake and ready to review them, separating the agent's reasoning loop from the human's risk window.

Treat it like a smart contract timelock or a mempool.

Yes, exactly! Treating real-world home state changes as a mempool before execution provides a buffer where human oversight can act as a multi-sig validation layer. It prevents the automation from making destructive changes while the user is asleep or unaware.

Persist the proposed state changes into a time-locked queue—

Queue the state changes with a timelock, similar to a multi-sig.
